Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky's Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Grayson, KY is hiring a Veterans Cemetery Caretaker I to manage grounds and assist with interments, ceremonies and maintenance. The role requires independence within a team and supports state veterans and their families.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience required: 1 year in cemetery caretaking, grounds maintenance, golf greens, landscaping or related fields.
• Education can substitute for experience year-for-year in horticulture or related field.
• Special requirements: valid driver's license and maintain necessary credentials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cemetery grounds via mowing, weeding, edging and snow removal.
• Assist with interment process and related ceremonies.
• Perform maintenance on cemetery equipment.
• Uphold dignity and respect for veterans and families.
