Job summary

Adjoin is seeking an AV Benefits Coordinator to support Veterans by conducting benefits screenings, assisting with applications, and coordinating appointments. You will advocate for clients, ensure follow-up, and maintain accurate case records within a housing-first program.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, travel across counties/state as needed, and reliable access to a mobile device for field tasks. A Bachelor’s degree or related experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Bachelor’s degree or three years equivalent experience and/or educational equivalent in working with individuals with disabilities and/or Veterans
• Strong interpersonal skills are critical due to high interaction with people
• Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to maintain well-organized records and files
• Ability to follow instructions is essential
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and manage time effectively
• Ability to navigate confidential information with professional boundaries
• First-Aid/CPR certification or willingness to complete within 45 days of hire
• Ability to travel for meetings, conferences, trainings
• Insured, registered vehicle with CA driver's license
• Must have mobile device with reliable internet; reimbursement provided

Responsibilities

• Deliver and interpret Benefits Screenings
• Support clients in completing benefits applications
• Support clients in scheduling and attending benefits appointments
• Advocate and follow up for benefits eligibility and receipt issues
• Maintain positive communications with agencies, employers, families and clients
• Reports to the Intake Coordinator
• Complete logs, reports and client evaluations in a timely manner
• Provide direct service as needed and required
• Attend all required meetings and in-services
• Transport Veterans to appointments and housing searches
• Perform other duties as assigned
