Job summary

Horizon Strategies seeks a Benefits Advisor to support the Transition Assistance Program at Whiteman AFB, MO. You will conduct VA benefits briefings, one-on-one engagements, pre-separation counseling, and hands-on workshops, ensuring content aligns with established objectives.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or 3 years’ equivalent experience with strong MS Office skills and a solid understanding of adult learning and veteran transitions.

Qualifications

• Understand and apply adult learning theories.
• Understanding of transitioning Service member populations.
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite of tools.
• Strong customer management and support skills.
• Experience delivering interactive workshops and training to live audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years’ equivalent work/military experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA transition activities in support of TAP, including briefings and counseling.
• Deliver onsite activities and conduct post-event data collection.
• Participate in weekly Site Lead meetings and contribute to program quality.
• Execute quality management activities at assigned installation and across the program.
