Job summary

Clear Path for Veterans, Inc. (CPV or Clear Path) seeks a dedicated Peer Mentor in the Wayne County area to help veterans reintegrate into the community. The role focuses on providing emotional support, connecting veterans with available programs and services, and offering crisis referrals.

The mentor will supervise a small staff and act as a positive role model. Key duties include responding promptly to inquiries, researching information for accurate responses, assisting with employment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Joint Service Transcripts Accepted); Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology or related field preferred and a minimum of 1 year’s supervisory/advisory experience.
• Associates degree required (Joint Service Transcripts Accepted); Associates degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or related field preferred and a minimum of 2 years supervisory/advisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and with compassion to inquiries from Veterans.
• Answer Veteran questions and research information for accurate responses.
• Assist with employment-related support for Veterans.
• Review open cases with Regional Manager and support overflow caseloads.
• Develop and disseminate reports on outreach events and activities.
