Job summary

The VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics (SORCC) DRRTP seeks a Rehabilitation Technician to provide short term rehabilitation services to Veterans and families. The role supports mental health services under the Assistant Chief of Staff of Mental Health.

Eligible applicants may qualify at GS-5, GS-6, or GS-7 level based on specialized experience or related education, with transcripts required. Regular standing, walking and computer documentation are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience at GS-4 level or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree with major in psychology or 24 semester hours in related subjects.
• Combination of education and experience with transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist in psychology techniques related to behavior and activities of humans.
• Apply counseling and supportive skills in individual and group sessions.
• Maintain ongoing contact with patients and document progress in medical records.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team and assist in crisis intervention.
• Participate in quality improvement and data collection.
