St. Luke's University Health Network in Lehighton, PA is seeking a Veteran Certified Peer Specialist to join the care team.

The role draws on lived recovery experience to support peers in reaching personal wellness goals and community integration. The CPS collaborates with professionals to educate staff on recovery, link peers to VA health services, and empower individuals to participate in meaningful activities.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Certified Peer Specialist training in Pennsylvania or plan to complete within the first 2 months of hire.
• Must be a Veteran of the Armed Forces.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Use personal recovery experiences to model coping techniques and coping skills for self-management of health conditions.
• Provide recovery education spanning the recovery journey, from engagement to maintenance.
• Educate staff about recovery and reduce stigma to support clients.
• Offer education and linkage to Veterans Administration health services and other health resources.
• Coach peers to identify interests, goals, and assets for community involvement and independence.
• Complete required documentation and ongoing training as defined by the agency.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety policies and driving requirements.
