Valor Healthcare in Ithaca, NY is seeking a Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). You will collaborate with the PACT team to deliver prescribed medical treatment and personal care to veterans seeking care.

The role emphasizes patient-centered service, compliance with VA guidelines, and documentation within 24 hours of visits. A BPAS or MPAS, and VA environment experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BPAS or related field) required or equivalent.
• Master’s degree (MPAS) preferred.
• Graduate of accredited PA program with preceptorship.
• Minimum five years of related healthcare experience; VA/primary care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively diagnoses and treats veterans under supervision of a physician.
• Develop and implement patient management plans.
• Order and perform diagnostic tests (x-ray, EKG, labs).
• Prescribe medications and counsel on use and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain timely documentation of medical records (within 24 hours).
