Qualifications
- Six (6) months of general experience OR one year of education above high school with nursing-related courses OR completion of a short occupation-related program as NA
- English proficiency in writing and speaking as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d)
- US citizenship requirement; non-citizens may apply only as VA policy allows
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed nursing staff in delivering patient care across settings.
- Support the nurse care plan and monitor patient status with timely reporting to supervisors.
- Use equipment and supplies safely to perform basic and intermediate nursing procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and health professionals.
