Job summary

Upscale Home Care in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Veteran Care and Independence Aide to provide non-medical in-home support that helps veterans live safely and autonomously. You will assist with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation to appointments, while monitoring health and medication reminders.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication, empathy, patience, and basic knowledge of emergency protocols.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required,Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist with activities of daily living like bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting.
• Household Support: Help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and laundry.
• Mobility & Transport: Assist with safe transfers, walking, and transportation to medical appointments.
• Health Monitoring: Track medication schedules or reminders and report changes in the veteran's condition to family or case managers.
• Companionship: Provide social engagement and emotional support to maintain dignity and improve quality of life.
