What’s the difference between Vetco Vaccination Clinics and Vetco Total Care Hospitals?

Vetco Vaccination Clinics offer wellness exams, vaccinations, medications, heartworm testing, and microchips, with no surgeries or emergencies. Located inside Petco stores, they use appointments to manage traffic efficiently.

Vetco Total Care Hospitals provide preventive care, diagnostics, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. They are equipped with digital records, ultrasound, X-ray, and on-site labs. Shifts are scheduled with the medical director, with no overnight or emergency on-call duties. The appointment model helps ensure timely departures.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine license in good standing
• State-specific licensing to perform all shift functions, including blood draws and vaccinations
• DEA license in good standing (preferred for full-service hospitals)
• Professional Liability Insurance and license defense policy
• Compliance with local, state, and federal mandates
