Differences Between Vetco Clinics and Hospitals

Vetco Vaccination Clinics provide wellness exams, vaccinations, medications, heartworm testing, and microchips, but no surgeries or emergencies. Located inside Petco stores, they operate on an appointment basis to manage traffic.

Vetco Total Care Hospitals offer comprehensive preventive care, diagnostics, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. Equipped with modern technology and staffed by licensed personnel, these hospitals operate without overnight or emergency on-call shifts. Shifts are scheduled to ensure timely service.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine license in good standing
• State-specific licensing to perform all shift functions, including blood draws and vaccinations
• DEA license in good standing preferred for hospital relief shifts
