What's the difference between Vetco Vaccination Clinics and Vetco Total Care Hospitals?

VETCO VACCINATION CLINICS provide wellness exams, preventive vaccinations, medications, heartworm testing, and microchip insertion. No surgeries, emergencies, or sick visits are conducted. Staff assist with operations, transactions, and pet restraint. Clinics are located inside Petco stores, with appointments helping to manage traffic and ensure timely departures.

VETCO TOTAL CARE HOSPITAL relief shifts include preventive care, diagnostics, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. You will coordinate with the area medical director before shifts to review case comfort levels. Hospitals are equipped with digital records, surgical suites, ultrasound, digital and dental X-ray, Vetology Radiograph AI, and on-site labs. No overnight or emergency on-call duties. The appointment-based model helps ensure timely departures.

REQUIREMENTS

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine license in good standing in your state
• Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions, including blood draws and vaccinations
• DEA license in good standing is preferred for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
• Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance and license defense policy
• Compliance with all local, state, and federal mandates
