Job summary

Rothman Animal Hospital in Collingswood, NJ, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for a full-time role with rotating Saturdays. This busy multi-doctor practice cares for dogs, cats, and exotic pets, offering advanced services in a team-oriented environment.

Pay is based on experience and licensing. The ideal candidate thrives on hands-on patient care, client education, and collaboration, with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Certified Veterinary Technician preferred.
• 1+ years of veterinary technician experience preferred.
• Skilled in venipuncture and IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, patient restraint and treatments, diagnostic imaging and EKGs.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with appointments, procedures, diagnostics, and surgery.
• Monitor anesthesia and support patient recovery.
• Collect laboratory samples and administer medications.
• Perform radiographs and assist with diagnostics.
• Educate pet owners regarding treatments, discharge care, and preventive medicine.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support efficient workflow.
• Work collaboratively with the entire hospital team to deliver high-quality patient care.
