Job summary

Animal Care of Oradell is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), or RVT, or an experienced veterinary technician with at least two years in the field to join our surgical and dental focused team. This role emphasizes anesthesia monitoring, dental cleanings, surgeries support, and compassionate patient care.

Certification is preferred but hands-on experience in anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician or assistant experience.
• Hands-on experience with anesthesia, surgery, and dental procedures.
• Certification (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring.
• Perform dental cleanings and take dental radiographs.
• Provide compassionate patient care and safe animal restraint.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor recovery.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Collect and process lab samples.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with inventory management.
