Garden State Veterinary Specialist in Eatontown, NJ is seeking a Veterinary Technician for our dental department. We are a multispecialty practice with board-certified specialists and a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CVT/LVT/RVT preferred; or equivalent experience.
• Experience with anesthetic monitoring.
• Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens.
• Solid knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
• Strong client service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general anesthesia and dental procedures; monitor anesthesia.
• Set up CRIs and perform basic medical math.
• Place IV catheters and manage fluid therapy.
• Position patients for radiographs and ensure radiation safety.
• Prepare and administer transfusions (Blood, Plasma).
• Maintain accurate treatment sheets and anesthesia records.
• Monitor capnography, pulse oximetry, ECG, BP.
• Collect and prepare blood samples for diagnostics.
• Educate clients on at-home care.
