Job summary

Care & Comfort Veterinary Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant. The role supports veterinarians with inpatient and outpatient care, lab work, and client education.

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience, with an hourly pay range of $20-$25. Reports to Technician Supervisor and Doctors, with duties across exams, surgery, dentistry, and anesthesia.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate’s degree in applied science or veterinary technology is preferred.
• State license to work as a veterinary technician is required (or eligible).

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in medicine and surgery.
• Perform in-hospital lab testing and prepare specimens.
• Take patient histories, vital signs, and weights for exams.
• Provide nursing care for in-hospital patients and boarding animals.
