Zippivet South Lamar is seeking a cross-trained Veterinary Technician/Client Service Representative to join our Austin hospital. The role is full-time with an alternating Saturdays CSR schedule and two tech shifts. Salary is negotiable based on experience and credentials.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician and client service experience preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced veterinary setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians during examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures.
• Provide compassionate nursing care and hands-on support for patients.
• Use Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to promote patient comfort and safety.
• Anticipate the needs of veterinarians and teammates to support an efficient workflow.
• Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm.
• Answer phones, respond to client questions, and schedule appointments.
• Maintain accurate client communications, patient records, and appointment information.
• Assist with check-in, check-out, payment processing, and front-desk responsibilities.
• Educate clients about patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive care.
• Participate in weekly and monthly meetings to strengthen communication and collaboration.
• Move confidently between clinical and client-service responsibilities as hospital needs change.
