Advanced Pet Care of Sedalia is a cutting edge, full-service, small animal practice that provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories.

Facility Amenities

The facility includes 4 exam rooms, open treatment area, individual DVM workstations, and amenities such as:

• Well stocked pharmacy
• Ultrasound
• 2 Anesthesia machines
• Surgical Laser
• Digital Radiology
• Updated dental unit and digital dental radiographs
• Avimark software
• Closely supervised hospitalization area
• Indoor kennels and outdoor walking areas

Position Purpose

Come extern with us! Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help them be practice-ready by their first day in practice.

Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.

Length of externship is flexible, and we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

Requirements / Qualifications

Eligibility

Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School.

Must be able to provide student PLIT.
