Job summary

Highland Park Animal Hospital is offering a Veterinary Student Externship that immerses you in a teaching hospital setting with seven doctors who guide your learning through clinics, surgeries, and dental procedures. You’ll observe and participate as much as possible, while benefiting from a large, diverse caseload and emphasis on client communication.

We provide an on-site furnished apartment for housing extern students traveling from out of town, and a supportive environment designed to tailor

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA accredited college of veterinary medicine program.
• Must be able to provide proof of PLIT coverage.
• You will be required to complete a W9.

Responsibilities

• Observe appointments, treatment, surgeries and dental procedures.
• Get involved in externship process under guidance of veterinarians.
• Learn client communication and high-quality care principles.
