Job summary

Students will work alongside experienced veterinarians to gain invaluable clinical skills, including performing exams, creating treatment plans, and assisting in surgeries. Eligible students may also receive a travel/living expense stipend of $1,000. The externship typically lasts from two to eight weeks, providing a comprehensive view of veterinary practice operations and excellent mentorship.

Qualifications

• Experience in gathering patient histories and performing physical exams.
• Ability to create treatment plans and perform diagnostics.
• Skills in assisting or performing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians.
• Gain hands-on clinical experience and practice communication skills.
• Participate in day-to-day operations of the veterinary practice.
