Job summary

National Veterinary Associates is offering an externship that provides Veterinary students with a unique opportunity for hands-on clinical experience in a hospital setting. You will work closely with Associate Veterinarians to gain practical skills in patient history, physical exams, treatment plans, diagnostics, and surgical procedures.

This externship lasts from two to eight weeks. Eligible students in their clinical education will also receive a stipend for travel and living expenses. NVA supports career growth and fosters a community of passionate professionals.

Qualifications

• Veterinary students who are in the clinical portion of their education are eligible.
• Ability to gather patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Strong communication skills with the medical team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on clinical experience at NVA hospitals.
• Work closely with Associate Veterinarians in actual practice.
• Observe and assist in surgical procedures and diagnostics.
