Job summary

Lake Meridian Animal Hospital in Kent, WA offers a Veterinary Externship under National Veterinary Associates. This externship provides hands-on clinical experience with supervision from Associate Veterinarians across wellness visits, surgeries, dentistry, and medical management.

Externs will work closely with the medical team, gain exposure to a variety of cases, and develop communication skills with staff and clients.

Qualifications

• Externship available to veterinary students in 3rd and 4th year.
• Opportunities to perform exams, histories, treatment plans, diagnostics, and supervised procedures.
• Travel/living stipend provided for eligible students.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Assist or perform dental procedures and soft tissue surgeries.
• Develop treatment plans and participate in client communication and medical decisions.
