Job summary

National Veterinary Associates is offering a Veterinary Externship at North Lake Veterinary Clinic in Wisconsin. This externship provides hands-on clinical experience under the supervision of Associate Veterinarians, including patient histories, exams, treatment planning, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgical observation/participation.

Externs will also develop communication skills with the veterinary team, staff, and clients, and may participate in two to eight weeks of externship scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in gathering patient histories and performing physical exams.
• Create treatment plans and perform diagnostics and dentistry services.
• Observe, assist, or perform surgical procedures and medical management of patients.
• Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
