Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of emergency/critical care experience as a veterinary assistant preferred.
• NAVTA-approved Vet Assistant program certificate preferred.
• Washington State Medication Clerk License preferred.
• Basic knowledge of pharmacology and animal science useful.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians with emergency procedures and medical care.
• Perform triage, history taking, and basic nursing care.
• Prepare, clean, and restock treatment areas and supplies.
• Perform phlebotomy and monitor vital signs.
• Communicate with clients to update status and discharge instructions.
• Follow hospital protocols and safety regulations.
• Maintain equipment and support a collaborative team environment.
