Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Wind Turbine Technicians to join our Maintenance, Commissioning, and Evaluation (MCE) team or work as Trouble Shooters. As a FairWind Wind Turbine Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Vestas wind turbines. We are looking for experience with the following: V100/110/116/120 for the 2MW platform and the V117/126/136/150/Enventus platform for the 4MW+ turbines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on wind turbines.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Commission new wind turbines, ensuring they meet operational standards.
  • Conduct troubleshooting to resolve turbine malfunctions and faults.
  • Collaborate with the control center to address and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed and parts used.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance turbine performance and reliability.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working on Vestas wind turbines, particularly models V100/110/116/120 for the 2MW platform and V117/126/136/150/Enventus platform for the 4MW+ platform.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel 100%.
