Terral RiverService, Inc. seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee vessel operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize port activities. You will coordinate vessel crews, leadership, and stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient and profitable operations.

The role requires leadership, budget oversight, and a strong grasp of safety management within maritime operations. Travel to TRS locations may be required; coast guard rules compliance emphasized.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Master of Towing License required.
• One to two years of related experience desired.
• Must have a valid/current Driver's license and transportation to TRS locations.
• Ability to work various hours, holidays and weekends.
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsabilidades

• Select, supervise, evaluate and train vessel masters and subordinates.
• Serve as primary liaison between vessel crew and shore side personnel.
• Maintain good working relationships with all vessel employees.
• Develop recruitment and retention programs.
• Ensure vessel compliance with government regulations and company policies.
• Monitor weather and provide information for navigational decisions.
• Respond to vessel emergencies, provide onsite supervision and investigations.
• Conduct onboard inspections for safe, efficient operations.
• Administer company policies including disciplinary actions.
• Represent company positions to USCG and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain good public relations with local/state/federal agencies.
• Develop and implement safety and efficiency policies/procedures.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage steersman program.
• Ensure Safety Management System compliance and continual improvement.
• Manage budget for fleet operations and resource use.
• Meet customer needs in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Assist management with job locations and routes analysis.
• Other duties including operating vessels, posting pilots, etc.
• Plan and budget for vessel majors.
