Job summary

Flagship Cruises & Events is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support safe and reliable vessel and facility operations. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot engine and electrical systems, and assist with facility upkeep on boats, docks, and related infrastructure.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read technical manuals, and willingness to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in marine mechanics preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a mechanic performing maintenance and repairs.
• Experience with diesel engines and electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and upkeep on diesel engines, electrical systems, propulsion, and related equipment to ensure safe vessel operation.
• Inspect, test, maintain, and repair vessel electrical systems and components, including controls, batteries, alarms, and related equipment.
• Conduct routine facility maintenance on boats, docks, and related infrastructure to support daily operations.
• Troubleshoot and complete basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, and pumps as needed.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of parts, tools, and supplies to support maintenance operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe maintenance shop and work environment; ensure readiness of equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and communicate status updates to supervisors.
• Demonstrate safety, teamwork, and commitment to excellent service and fleet efficiency.
