Job summary

Jobot seeks a skilled fabrication supervisor in Odessa, TX to organize daily work, assign tasks based on work orders and priorities, and monitor progress on the shift. You will verify that drawings, materials, and CNC files are ready, raising issues promptly to avoid delays.

You will supervise vessel fit‑up, welds, and inspections, ensure welders are qualified to WPS, uphold safety, maintain clean, safe work areas, and coordinate with Quality and Engineering to resolve questions, hold points,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five+ years of pressure vessel fabrication experience, with at least two years in lead/supervisory role.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings, weld symbols, bills of material, and work instructions.
• Working knowledge of API and ASME fabrication requirements, approved welding procedures, inspection hold points, and material traceability.

Responsibilities

• Organize and assign each day’s work based on work orders, crew skill sets, material availability, and production priorities; share daily targets with the crew and track progress throughout the shift.
• Before work begins, confirm that approved drawing packets, materials, pick tickets, weld maps, and CNC files are on hand; raise incomplete releases, shortages, and questions promptly.
• Supervise vessel fit‑up, shell and head assembly, nozzle orientation, internals, and supports; verify dimensions against drawings; route questions to Engineering and Quality.
