Job summary

FM Industries in Livermore, CA is seeking a Machinist, Vertical Mill 2 for Swing Shift. You will set up and run repeat parts, read blueprints and tooling instructions, and guide operators to ensure quality.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience, knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, CNC programming and G&M codes. FM Industries offers medical/dental/vision and life insurance, 401(k) with a 30% match, paid holidays, tuition assistance, and more. Swing shift 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 7 years’ work-related experience.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Extensive knowledge of inspection practices.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and G&M code.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run repeat or proven parts with minimal direction.
• Follow shop paper procedure including updates, signatures and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities.
• Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
• Set-up, and run all facets of work assigned.
• Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to operators and lower-level machinists as required
