Vertex Biopharmaceutical Sciences CGT Project Management and Strategic Operations (CGT PMSO) is seeking a co‑op for a 6‑month internship to assist a CMC project manager and build tools for effective project management in Vertex CGT.

The Vertex Project Management Co‑Op is a 6‑month experiential training program for students currently working towards an undergraduate or advanced degree in STEM or Business fields. Vertex Biopharmaceutical Sciences Cell and Gene Therapy Project Management and Strategic Operations (CGT PMSO) department is responsible for developing robust, scalable manufacturing processes, and manufacturing clinical products for therapeutic modalities with the potential to treat and even cure diseases. These diseases include sickle cell disease, type 1 diabetes, and other biologics. The BiopharmSci CGT team is developing best‑in‑class process technologies, analytical methods, devices and manufacturing methodologies to ensure we bring these cutting‑edge therapies to patients quickly. The CMC project management team within BiopharmSci CGT is accountable to support effective CMC project tracking, execution, and reporting with harmonized tools and systems, and collaborates with function leaders and stakeholders in the organization to support effective decision making related to CMC development and manufacturing. This internship/co‑op will assist a CMC project manager on project management tasks and building tools for effective project management and / or will help manage specific portions of scope for ongoing projects or programs. This opportunity will provide firsthand experience and insight into CMC drug development in Vertex CGT.
