Wellesley College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences in vertebrate biology to begin Fall 2027. The successful candidate will teach the equivalent of four courses per year, including introductory organismal biology and a vertebrate anatomy/physiology course, while developing an advanced course in their specialty.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. and demonstrate excellence in teaching and research with undergraduates, addressing inclusive STEM

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required at time of application.
• Tenure-track faculty position beginning Fall 2027.
• Broadly trained vertebrate biologist with strong teaching and research commitments.
• Active, productive undergraduate research program development expected.

Responsibilities
