Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in New Jersey or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN).
• AHA BLS certification.
• AHA ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years Med Surg/Telemetry in an acute care setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various hospital units, including medical-surgical, telemetry, emergency, and ICU as needed.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications and treatments per protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records to ensure continuity of care.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and changes in condition, escalating care when necessary.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
