Job summary

Hudson Regional Health is seeking an RN-Med Surg Float for the Hoboken location. This full-time night shift role requires flexible, multi-unit nursing care across medical-surgical, telemetry, ER and ICU as needed.

The position emphasizes rapid assessment, care plan implementation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. A NJ RN license, ADN/BSN, BLS and ACLS are required, with 2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry in acute care.

Qualifications

• RN license in NJ or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Accredited nursing program: ADN or BSN.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• ACLS certification (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years Med Surg/Telemetry in an acute care setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various hospital units, including medical-surgical, telemetry, emergency, and intensive care as needed.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and changes in condition, initiating appropriate interventions and escalating care when necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions to promote recovery and wellness.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe care environment.
