Job summary

Coquille Valley Hospital in Coquille, Oregon seeks a Resource Nurse to support safe patient care across the hospital. You will respond to fluctuating care needs, ensure complete documentation, and coordinate with physicians and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; ADN or BSN preferred.
• Minimum three years’ acute care nursing experience with leadership duties preferred.
• Current Oregon RN licensure required.
• Current BLS required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis/patient care priorities.
• Collaborates and coordinates care of the patient with the interdisciplinary team.
• Completes comprehensive patient assessment specific to clinical area/unit.
• Develops and updates the patient plan of care; documents all aspects thoroughly per policy.
• Follows organizational policies to provide safe patient care at all times.
• Implements the plan of care utilizing resources and best evidence.
• Involves patient/family in outcomes and goals.
• Participates in unit/department quality improvement efforts.
• Mentors and educates nursing staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
