Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from ARRT accredited Radiologic Technologist program or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, isolation and sterile techniques.
• Knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operation (x-ray machines and printers).

Responsibilities

• Take radiographs per physician orders.
• Ensure 95% of films are satisfactory as measured by repeat rate.
• Work in multiple radiology areas: routine, IVP, fluoroscopy, portable, GU.
• Protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation; use shielding as appropriate.
• Interact with front desk, computer systems, and reports; schedule exams and look up information in the system.
• Assist in equipment maintenance and QA responsibilities; notify manager/engineers of problems.
