Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Inpatient Medical Surgical Float Pool. You will float across units, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with complex conditions and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

Required Ohio RN licensure and BLS. Prior inpatient RN experience is essential; BSN is preferred. Working hours include primary 7p-7a and secondary 7a-7p with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible for Ohio RN licensure.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Professional certification recognized by Magnet Association.

Responsibilities

• Float between units: Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, General Medicine.
• Perform IV placement, blood draws, and wound care with appropriate documentation.
• Provide tracheostomy care, NG/PEG management, and drain care as needed.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking and delegating under supervision.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, Providers, PT/OT, and WOCN.
