Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a General Construction Technician to perform construction, renovation, installation, maintenance, and labor activities across corporate and manufacturing locations. This on-site role requires hands-on experience in residential carpentry or related skilled labor.

You will assist with building improvements, equipment installations, demolition, concrete work, carpentry, and general construction tasks while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Physically demanding work including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong safety mindset and reliable transportation; valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work at multiple Milwaukee-area locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, remodeling, renovation, and facility improvement projects.
• Perform demolition, framing, carpentry, and general labor tasks.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Assist with concrete preparation, pouring, finishing, and cleanup.
• Support installation of offices, equipment platforms, and facility improvements.
• Assist with moving, rigging, positioning, and installation of equipment and materials.
• Operate equipment when qualified.
• Maintain organized, safe job sites and load/unload materials.
