Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts Braselton is seeking energetic bar staff to deliver hospitable guest service and crafted drinks. You will support bar setup, stock, garnishes, and serve guests while maintaining accuracy in orders and payments.

Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, ensuring compliance with alcohol-service guidelines, and maintaining a clean, organized bar area. Hotel experience is preferred; strong guest communication and cash handling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic math skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to use a knife for garnishes, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks and reach stock.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and POS procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Complies with state, federal and corporate alcohol-service rules.

• Handles cash, verifies charges and deposits, and balances money.
• Locks and stores equipment, deposits cash drops.
• Adheres to attendance rules and availability for regular shifts.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Overview

Serve guests in a hospitable manner to ensure a positive guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
• Abides by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
• Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all money.
• Locks and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
• Complies with attendance rules and is available to work on a regular basis.
• Performs any other job-related duties as assigned.
