Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Versa SD-WAN Network Engineer/Architect to lead the design, deployment, optimization, and support of secure SD-WAN solutions for enterprise clients. This role involves hands-on engineering, customer collaboration, and technical problem-solving to ensure high-performing and scalable SD-WAN network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Versa SD-WAN solutions, ensuring seamless implementation across client environments.Provide technical leadership and collaborate with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful solution deliveryAnalyze, design, and develop technical fixes for both internally reported and customer-reported SD-WAN/network issues.

• Work closely with Level 3 support to troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues.

• Reproduce customer-reported problems in a lab environment and validate fixes.

• Coordinate with OEMs to test resolutions and simulate production-like conditions.

• Conduct hands-on validation of new features, proofs of concept (POCs), network topologies, and deployments.

• Define and document best practices for SD-WAN architecture and network infrastructure.

• Set up and manage network infrastructure for SD-WAN implementations.

• Create and maintain technical knowledge base articles for internal and customer use.

• Write automation scripts using Bash or Python to improve network operations and testing workflows.

• Test and validate hotfixes and provide recommendations to the operations and support teams.

Technical Skills & Qualifications: Versa SD-WAN Expertise:

• Deep knowledge of the Versa SD-WAN architecture, components, and operations.

• Experience configuring and provisioning Versa SD-WAN devices and services.

• Proficiency in Versa Concerto for SD-WAN lifecycle management, including:

  • Managing master profiles, subprofiles, rules, and policies.

  • Creating and administering SD-WAN tenants.

  • Using Concerto APIs for automation and integration.

• Familiarity with Versa Director and Versa Analytics for network monitoring and performance troubleshooting.

• Experience in software upgrades, configuration management, and SD-WAN orchestration.

Networking Skills:

• Strong understanding of IP networking and core routing protocols:
  OSPF, BGP, L3VPN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, BFD, QoS, Application-aware Routing

• Solid experience with switching technologies:
  VLANs, Trunking, Dot1x, STP variants, VxLAN

• Proficient in the TCP/IP protocol suite

Security & VPN Technologies:

• Practical knowledge of IPSec VPN, SSL-VPN, NAT, GRE tunnels

• Skilled in using packet analyzers such as Wireshark and tcpdump

• Understanding of network security, threat detection, CVE analysis, and log interpretation

Platform & Scripting:

• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments

• Ability to write Bash or Python scripts for automation and monitoring

• Familiarity with virtualization (VMs), SaaS, IaaS concepts and deployment

Cloud & Infrastructure:

• Experience with hybrid cloud networking including platforms like AWS, GCP, OpenStack

• Knowledge of hardware and system-level troubleshooting

• Experience in supporting and managing enterprise network infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant Versa certifications or SD-WAN vendor certifications

• Experience working in service provider or large enterprise environments

• Excellent documentation and communication skills
