Dayton Live is seeking a Security Screener for part-time day shifts in Dayton, OH. You will screen guests at entry, ensure adherence to venue policies, and perform secondary checks as needed to protect attendees, staff, and performers. Applicants should be at least 18 and capable of working weekends, nights, and holidays.

The role emphasizes customer service under challenging conditions, with pre-shift setup at Evolv Express locations and strict bag/weapon policies in place for all venues.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in security or related field.

Responsibilities

• Arrive 1.5 hours before the performance and set up areas at the Evolv Express locations.
• Monitor the screening process and address any items that are not permitted in our venues.
• Follow Dayton Live’s policies regarding entry into our venues.
• No large bags over 16’x16’x8’
• No weapons or firearms
• No outside food or beverage
• Escalate situations as necessary to managers on duty as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service in difficult situations.
