Job summary

Evolving Solution Services seeks a part-time Venue Attendant to oversee the venue during events, ensuring safety, hospitality, and smooth operations during evening shifts (4pm–12am). You will greet guests, assist clients, and help enforce venue policies.

Responsibilities include HVAC monitoring, venue sweeps, restroom stocking, spill cleanup, trash disposal, and coordination with vendors to maintain high standards of service throughout the event.

Responsibilities

• Maintain venue quality and operations; monitor HVAC and venue conditions.
• Sweep venue hourly and check water features, lights, and building issues.
• Check restrooms for cleanliness and stocked supplies; address issues promptly.
• Clean spills safely and manage trash, transferring full bags to on-site dumpster.
• Greet guests and clients, assist with questions, and ensure policies are followed.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth event flow and loading/unloading as needed.

Job description

The role of Venue Attendant is critical to the success and safety of each event. The Venue Attendant oversees all aspects of the venue during the event. The Venue Attendant should conduct themselves with dignity and integrity at all times. This is a Part-Time position, primary shifts are between 4pm and 12am.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to judge what problems you can handle, and which are beyond your ability to handle, and for which you should immediately contact your general manager or assistant manager.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain venue quality and operations:
  • Check the temperature of the AC / Heating unit regularly.
  • Do a sweep of the venues and backyard hourly, checking on the water feature, lights, building, and general issues that might arise.
  • Check the restrooms for cleanliness and tidiness, and make sure toilet paper, paper towels, tissue, and soap dispensers stay stocked all night.
  • Clean any areas of the venue in a safe, effective manner when major spills occur and throughout the evening.
  • Pick up trash from throughout the property and discard, as well as transfer full trash bags to the on-site dumpster.
• Deliver top-notch customer service to clients and guests:
  • Greet guests and welcome them to the property at the beginning of each event.
  • Greet the main client and those closely associated with the client.
  • Be available to the couple and bridal party for unexpected needs.
  • Assist individuals who have questions or concerns about the venue or event.
  • Professionally and kindly ensure policies are being followed.
  • Do a sweep of all rooms to make sure they are clear of personal belongings during event cleanup.
  • Bid farewell to the guests upon completion of each event.
• Work with vendors:
  • Assist vendors with questions about the venue and needs from the venue.
  • Professionally and kindly ensure policies are being followed (i.e., vendors are disposing of trash they are responsible for, keeping volume at an acceptable decibel, and loading in / out at the loading dock, not the front entrance, etc.)
