Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an associate in New York to join the GP Coverage and Sourcing segment of the Alternative Investment Platform. The role focuses on growth and venture opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with top tier managers, and supporting structuring, capital markets and investor relations for offerings.

As part of the GP Coverage and Sourcing team, you will help originate investment strategies, work with external sales professionals, and contribute to fundraising

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of financial markets and investment instruments.
• 3+ years' experience in wealth management, asset management, investment banking, or private equity.
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and across group functions.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage GS ACM relationships with external managers, including new product development and coordination of external sales professionals.
• Source, diligence and originate new alternative investment offerings to meet client demand and opportunities.
• Provide input on ACM sales strategy across client segments and develop fundraising strategies.
• Lead marketing of alternative investment offerings for venture and growth across GS client segments and regions.
• Lead client portfolio reviews and provide performance attribution and fund commentary.
• Coordinate across AIP, GS CIO, and external managers to educate on alternative investment themes.
