Job summary

IDB Lab seeks a dynamic Venture Capital Investment Consultant to support the Loans team within the VCI unit. You will originate and screen potential debt opportunities, perform financial analysis and due diligence, and draft investment memoranda to inform decisions across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Responsibilities include coordinating with country teams, updating internal systems, and supporting portfolio management.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of transactional experience in debt operations with strong financial analysis and modelling.
• Proven ability to prepare Investment Memoranda and present to Investment Committees.
• English and Spanish proficient; Portuguese or French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Originating and screening debt opportunities by building relationships with private sector stakeholders and Investment Officers across the region.
• Conduct financial analysis, modelling, and due diligence; draft investment concept notes and memoranda.
• Maintain records of analyzed debt opportunities in internal systems and support portfolio management and reporting.
