Qualifications

• Proof of Negative TB testing required.
• 2 years ventilator management experience preferred, but not required.
• Six hours yearly training in Infection Control, Blood Borne Pathogen, OSHA, safety, HIPAA, new products or services.
• Must complete state Continuing Education Credits for Respiratory Therapy Licensure.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day activities of the Respiratory Care Department including therapy procedures.
• Manage ventilator care, tracheotomy and weaning, and interdisciplinary care with staff.
• Provide in-service education to employees and community.
• Assist with QA and other reports as requested.
• Assist with on-call for company needs.
• Provide updates to supervisor for changes and patient status.
• Check safety, care and cleaning of equipment and maintenance of the department.
• Engage in teamwork and participate in mandatory staff meetings and in-services.
