Job summary

NYU Langone Health seeks a Registered Nurse for Venous Access on a per diem nights schedule. You will perform nursing assessments, plan and deliver patient-centered care within NYU Langone standards, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to achieve outcomes.

You will educate patients and families, document care, and participate in unit activities while adhering to regulatory requirements and quality indicators.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse in New York
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Fluent written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates solid foundation of organizational goals and quality indicators (QSPIP, HAPU, CAUTI, CLABSI, Falls).
• Collects, assesses and documents patient healthcare data.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to identify a plan of care and outcomes.
• Prioritizes care based on data and documents assessments in medical records.
• Provides patient education and documents learning outcomes.
• Ensures unit throughput and compliance with NYS Nurse Practice Act and regulations.
