Job summary

Freres Engineered Wood in Lyons, Oregon is seeking a Production Worker (Green Chain) for Plant 2. The role involves grading veneer, pulling, sorting, and stacking green sheets to meet quality standards for plywood and engineered wood manufacturing. This on-site, full-time position operates on a swing shift with nine-hour days.

No prior experience is required as training is provided. You will work under supervision, operate machinery, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Grading veneer is fast, difficult work which requires pulling, sorting, and stacking green (wet) sheets of veneer according to quality for later use in the plywood and engineered wood manufacturing process.
• Green Veneer Offbearer Trainees pull, sort and stack veneer by quality (grade) and place the different grades into carts.
• The wood must be stacked precisely as it will be transported to other departments.
• Must be able to take direction, listen, learn and work well with others.
