Job summary

Medica is seeking a Strategic Provider Enablement Lead to translate strategy into coordinated execution with provider partners in Minnesota and beyond. You will align workstreams, surface risks, and maintain governance with the Joint Operating Committee.

The role requires building strong relationships with executive-level providers, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering on strategic provider initiatives with accountability and clear metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.
  • 8+ years of work experience beyond degree.
  • 5+ years of program management experience in healthcare.
  • 5+ years of operations/provider experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advance strategic provider relationships by leading complex provider initiatives and coordinating priorities between Medica and provider executives.
  • Own the Provider Operating Model by establishing governance and decision-making frameworks across provider partners.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional execution across Network, Operations, Technology, Product, Pharmacy, Clinical, and Account Management teams.
  • Drive accountability by maintaining integrated workplans, dashboards, and risk tracking with clear escalation and timely issue resolution.

The Strategic Provider Enablement Lead is accountable for translating strategy into coordinated execution across Medica and provider partners, ensuring alignment across workstreams, surfacing risks early, driving accountability, and maintaining a consistent Joint Operating Committee governance model with key provider partners. The role acts as the connective tissue between executive strategy and day-to-day execution. Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities

  • Advance Strategic Provider Relationships
    • Act as the execution lead for complex provider initiatives.
    • Coordinate joint priorities between Medica and provider executives.
    • Ensure commitments made by either organization are fulfilled.
    • Identify opportunities to strengthen strategic collaboration and advance shared organizational objectives.
  • Own the Provider Operating Model
    • Stand up and manage the Joint Operating Committee structure.
    • Create a consistent governance approach across strategic provider partners.
    • Define decision-making, escalation, and accountability frameworks.
    • Ensure decisions are made, documented, and executed.
  • Orchestrate Cross Functional Execution
    • Coordinate work across Network, Operations, Technology, Product, Pharmacy, Clinical, Affordability, Account Management, and Provider Relations.
    • Manage dependencies between teams.
    • Resolve issues before they require executive intervention.
    • Drive accountability for deliverables, timelines, and outcomes across participating teams.
  • Drive Accountability and Performance
    • Maintain integrated workplans across strategic provider initiatives.
    • Manage executive dashboards and status reporting.
    • Track risks, decisions, commitments, dependencies, and escalations.
    • Provide leadership with a clear view of relationship health, execution progress, and emerging issues.
    • Monitor follow-through on agreed-upon actions and drive timely resolution of open items

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 8+ years of work experience beyond degree
  • 5+ years of program management experience in healthcare
  • Ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in operations and/or a provider experience role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments, with a focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Experience working with director and above leadership.
  • Exceptional facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Proven track record of managing projects that drive process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Experience in high growth and/or transforming organizations.
  • Ability to lead a small team, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • General understanding of technology concepts and agile operating models.
  • Experience preferred with healthcare regulatory compliance, particularly in areas related to data security and member information.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI.

The full salary grade for this position is $113,400 - $194,400. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $113,400 - $170,100. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
