Lonestar Electric Supply is seeking a Vendor Marketing Specialist to own MDF and co-op programs across our branch network, turning vendor dollars into measurable marketing activity. You’ll connect manufacturer partners, branch leaders, and the marketing team to ensure funds are claimed and used effectively.

The ideal candidate thrives managing a program end-to-end, is skilled with spreadsheets, and can juggle many moving pieces while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience managing MDF, co-op, or channel marketing funds.
• 2–4 years in marketing within distribution, wholesale, or manufacturing.
• Experience with distributor/manufacturer partnerships and vendor programs.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for trackers.
• Excellent organization and communication with vendors and teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual MDF and co-op process across vendor partners: track funds, accrual rules, submission deadlines, and claim requirements.
• Maintain and improve MDF tracker with branch allocations, vendor tabs, and leadership reporting.
• Work with branch leaders to identify eligible activities and ensure timely funds usage.
• Prepare and submit claims with documentation; track reimbursements to payment.
• Partner with vendors on joint marketing plans, campaigns, and promotions.
• Execute vendor-funded campaigns including email, digital, print, signage, and branded merchandise.
• Coordinate with marketing for campaign production; own vendor requirements, budget, and approvals.
• Plan and run vendor-supported events (counter days, open houses, training sessions, trade shows).
• Report on program performance and fund utilization to leadership and partners.
• Support broader marketing initiatives across Lonestar family.

Lonestar Electric Supply is looking for a Vendor Marketing Specialist to own our co-op and market development fund (MDF) programs and turn vendor dollars into real marketing activity across our branch network. You'll be the connection point between our manufacturer partners, our branch leaders, and our marketing team, making sure available funds get used well and get claimed correctly.

This is a good fit for someone who likes owning a program end to end, is comfortable in spreadsheets, and can keep a lot of moving pieces straight without losing track of deadlines. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and aligned with our passion to MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual MDF and co-op process across all vendor partners: track available funds, accrual rules, submission deadlines, and claim requirements
• Maintain and improve our MDF tracker, including branch-level allocations, vendor tabs, and reporting for leadership
• Work with branch leaders to identify eligible activities and make sure funds are committed before they expire
• Prepare and submit claims with required documentation, then track reimbursements through to payment
• Partner with vendors on joint marketing plans, campaigns, and promotional programs
• Execute vendor-funded campaigns including email, digital, print, signage, and branded merchandise
• Coordinate with marketing specialists on campaign production and creative, serving as the owner of vendor requirements, budget, and approvals rather than the producer of the assets
• Plan and run vendor-supported events such as counter days, open houses, training sessions, and trade shows
• Report on program performance and fund utilization to marketing leadership and vendor partners
• Support broader marketing initiatives across the Lonestar family of companies as needed

Requirements

• Hands-on experience managing MDF, co-op, or channel marketing funds. You've tracked accruals, built plans against available dollars, and submitted claims with backup documentation
• 2 to 4 years in marketing, vendor marketing, or channel marketing within distribution, wholesale, or manufacturing
• Working understanding of how distributor and manufacturer partnerships operate, including vendor programs, rebates, and joint marketing
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills. You're comfortable building and maintaining trackers, not just filling them in
• Excellent organization and follow-through. Deadlines here are real and missing one means leaving money on the table
• Clear, professional communication with vendors, branch leaders, and internal teams
• Comfortable managing multiple projects at once and shifting priorities
• Willingness to travel occasionally to branches and events
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience
• Experience with electrical, industrial, or construction products
• Experience supporting a multi-branch or multi-location organization
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or email marketing platforms

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel as needed.
• Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required infrequently.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
