Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator to manage inventory at customer sites and coordinate deliveries. You will handle storage, distribution, and order fulfillment, driving company vehicles and ensuring DOT compliance. You’ll also ensure shipment accuracy, assist with space placement, and relay spot buy orders to the CSR or Account Rep.

Barcode scanning is part of daily operations. Your role supports Vallen's commitment to reliable supply chain solutions and customer

Qualifications

• Experience managing inventory at customer sites or warehouses.
• Strong understanding of shipping/logistics processes and safety requirements.
• Ability to operate company vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage inventory at customers' designated sites.
• Perform storage, distribution and order fulfillment tasks for merchandise and equipment.
• Drive company vehicles to transport and deliver goods, adhering to DOT standards and regulations.
• Ensure accuracy of shipments to customers.
• Assist with VMI space placement and set up receiving areas at customer sites.
• Follow orders from pickup at Vallen's warehouse/DC to delivery and setup at customer site.
• Handle customer spot buy orders and relay information to CSR or Account Rep.
• Scan barcodes at customer locations to update inventory records.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

I. In this position, you will deliver and manage inventory at customers' designated sites. You will perform the physical or administrative tasks involved in storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Drive company commercial vehicles to transport and deliver goods to designated locations in a safe manner and in compliance with all State and Federal DOT standards and regulations. Works to ensure the accuracy of shipments to the customer. Assist with the VMI customer space/placement, sets up the appropriate area to receive shipment of material and stocks product in the customer's designated area. Follows the customer order through from pick-up at Vallen's warehouse/DC to delivery and set up at customer site.
