Vendor Data Operations and Content Sr Specialist

Job Description: Cboe Data Vantage is a data and analytics division of Cboe with a broad suite of sophisticated products and services designed to help clients navigate the markets. The Vendor Data Operations and Content Sr Specialist will work within the Risk and Market Analytics Group (“RMA”). The role will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy and integrity, supporting data analysis and reporting for RMA with respect to global markets content, including market data, reference, and fundamental data provided by internal sources, external exchanges, and third-party vendors.

Responsibilities
  1. Product Operations – Vendor Data Sourcing & Onboarding Obligations
  • Contribute to Data Sourcing activities, including analyzing data requirements and identifying suitable source data.
  • Work with Product Owners to ensure content is appropriately represented in requirements specifications.
  • Assist with content onboarding in collaboration with Product Owners and Technology Teams.
  • Ensure vendor reporting requirements are met by collecting and consolidating usage reports and working with Procurement and Vendor Management.
  • Product Operations – Content and Process Standardization, and Data Flow Mapping
    • Support content initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
    • Develop and maintain standardized data flow mappings and content models.
    • Document all content used throughout RMA and work with Technology teams on standardization.
  • Product Operations – Process and Workflow Automation
    • Automate repetitive tasks and leverage AI tools for reporting and efficiency.
  • Data Providers’ Content Expertise
    • Provide data analysis support and understand content use cases.
    • Track and review changes in data provider specifications and content, and communicate with product and development teams.
    • Contribute to policy change tracking and provide training on content-related topics.
    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a STEM field.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in Data Operations within financial markets across multiple asset classes.
    • Domain expertise in Financial Markets (Market Data, Reference Data, Risk, Compliance, or FinTech).
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Proficiency with SQL, RDBMSs (SQL Server, MySQL), and Office tools.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
    Preferred Skills
    • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Windows, Linux command line.
    • Knowledge of software development and change management practices.
